Windjammer Jazz Cocktail Lounge, established in 1972 and operated by the founder's son, was a legendary jazz bar in Yokohama's Chinatown featuring authentic 1970s aesthetic and maritime-themed decor with wooden rails, old sails, and low warm lighting. The intimate space resembled an old sailing ship, hosting live jazz performances every night with a ¥600 cover charge and full food service. The venue operated for 51 years until its closure on January 28, 2024, due to building deterioration, leaving behind a storied legacy in Yokohama's jazz and cocktail culture.
