Angel's Share

Angel's Share is a pioneering Japanese-style speakeasy that originally opened in 1993 in Manhattan's East Village and had an outsized influence on the craft cocktail movement. The bar directly influenced Sasha Petraske, founder of Milk & Honey, which inspired craft cocktail bars worldwide. After nearly 30 years at its iconic location, the bar reopened in 2024 at 45 Grove Street in the West Village following a rent dispute. The new 17-seat bar maintains its legendary cocktail programme featuring delicately balanced, traditional Japanese flavor profiles, with a mural from the original walls watching over the refined space.
