Boadas

Boadas is Barcelona's oldest cocktail bar and the second oldest in Spain, founded by Miguel Boadas in 1933 at number 1 Tallers Street on the corner of Las Ramblas. Miguel learned bartending traditions at the legendary El Floridita in Havana before bringing Cuban cocktail recipes back to Spain, establishing Boadas as famous for its martinis since the 1930s. The bar survived the Spanish Civil War and became a celebrated gathering space for Catalan writers, artists, and celebrities. Today, under the stewardship of current owners Simone Caporale and Marc Álvarez—co-founders of SIPS, named world's best bar in 2023—Boadas continues its legacy of meticulous craft and warm hospitality.
