Double Chicken Please is a Lower East Side bar at 115 Allen Street, established in 2020 by founders GN Chan and Faye Chen as a tribute to the historic soda shops that once dominated the neighborhood. The dual-concept space comprises Free Range at the front, a modernist take on the area's soda tap tradition serving kegged seasonal cocktails and beers, and The Coop, a dark and sleek lounge specializing in culinary cocktails. The bar ranks among the world's elite, achieving 2nd place in The World's 50 Best Bars in 2023 and top position in North America's list. Signature drinks like the Cold Pizza—made with Parmigiano Reggiano, burnt toast, tomato, basil honey, and egg white—blur boundaries between mixology and gastronomy, while creative food offerings include chicken in popcorn form and chicken liver mousse with coffee butter.
