False Idol is an immersive tiki bar hidden within Craft & Commerce in downtown San Diego's Beech Street. Designed by Ignacio Gonzalez to be thoughtful and far from kitsch, the bar features colorful glass buoys suspended in fishing nets, intricate wood carvings, and authentic Polynesian art and memorabilia. Created by renowned tiki expert Martin Cate, False Idol offers a vast menu of classic tropical cocktails and modern reinterpretations. The elaborate, curated aesthetic and expert cocktail program create an authentic tiki experience that transcends typical tiki bar conventions.
