La Guarida, meaning 'The Hideout,' has evolved from a small paladar with 12 chairs into an emblem of Havana's culinary excellence since 1996. Housed in an early 20th-century building in Centro Habana, it earned the World Culinary Awards' Best Restaurant in Cuba in 2024 and features in films including Strawberry and Chocolate. Accessed through residential buildings with the main entrance on the third floor, the establishment reaches a fourth-floor terrace bar offering panoramic sunset views over Old Havana and the Malecón.
