Martiny's is a three-level cocktail bar nestled within a restored 1800s carriage house in Gramercy, blending Old New York charm with Japanese elegance through exposed brick, warm wood, and soft jazz ambiance. Founded by Tokyo native Takuma Watanabe after eight years at pioneering cocktail bar Angel's Share, the venue embodies the Japanese concept of shokunin—mastery of craft. The curated drinks menu functions like an omakase experience, reimagining Western classics through the lens of Tokyo's Ginza bars. Named Best New U.S. Cocktail Bar at the Spirited Awards in 2023, it ranked 15th in North America's 50 Best Bars in 2025.
