Patent 5 Distillery and Tasting Room occupies a historic 2,600-square-foot former livery stable in Winnipeg's Exchange District. Founded by four professionals—an accountant, engineer, entrepreneur, and pharmacist—the craft distillery produces award-winning spirits using locally-sourced ingredients, including Red River and 100% Rye Whiskeys, aged and spiced rums, multiple gin expressions, and elderflower and sour cherry liqueurs. The intimate tasting room serves high-concept cocktails in a heritage setting, operating Wednesday–Friday and Saturday 4–11 PM for cocktails, with retail hours Monday–Tuesday 10 AM–4 PM. The venue combines heritage architecture with contemporary craft cocktail culture in a hidden-in-plain-sight location.
