Sternewirth Bar

Sternewirth is Hotel Emma's dramatic bar and clubroom located at 136 East Grayson Street in the historic Pearl district. A 25-foot vaulted ceiling soars over intimate groupings of sofas, easy chairs, and banquettes arranged to encourage conversation, celebration, and business dealings. Three enormous cast-iron fermentation tanks, outfitted with pillow-covered banquettes and low tables, provide intimate spaces to enjoy craft cocktails, beer, or wine. The bar serves classic cocktails made without gimmicks alongside hearty small plates and live music performances. Named for the Sternewirth Privilege, which entitled 19th-century brewery employees to free beer during workdays, the venue carries forward that tradition of conviviality. Walk-ins welcome; open for reservations and service.
