TAX is an unconventional speakeasy located up an unmarked stairway in Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok's Chinatown district. Founded as a creative response to government taxes and pandemic-era challenges, the bar showcases an underground aesthetic blended with artistic edge. Its distinctive menu features bold, vinegar-based cocktails crafted from house-made vinegars distilled from leftover spirits, with innovative offerings like Riesling Vinegar, Issan Coco, Black Sticky Rice, and Hops cocktails. Created by the YOLO Group under bartender Attapon De Silva's direction, TAX delivers an edgy, culturally-rooted drinking experience that challenges conventional cocktail traditions while remaining deeply grounded in Thai sensibilities and local ingredient sourcing.
