The Night Rooster

The Night Rooster is a craft cocktail bar in Ubud, Gianyar Regency, where local ingredients and folklore converge. Located near the acclaimed restaurant Locavore, this intimate 40-seat lounge operates as a colonial planter's club inspired speakeasy, open nightly from 5pm. Every spirit served is made in-house—from fermented fruit wines to house-distilled vermouth and bitters—by alchemist Raka, who weaves Indonesian supernatural stories and local legends into the drink program. The bar's philosophy centers on using traditional local ingredients transformed through creative alchemy, offering patrons an authentic taste of Bali's natural bounty and cultural mystique through inventive, narrative-driven cocktails.
