The Skip

The Skip is an open-air cocktail lounge with tropical island vibes located in Detroit's vibrant Belt Alley, within walking distance of Comerica Park and Ford Field. The venue specializes in fun, inventive frozen cocktails and tropical drinks, complemented by craft beers starting at just three dollars. The signature menu includes frozen Irish coffee, frozen cucumber margarita, and a unique Skip gin and tonic infused with lemongrass, lime, galangal, and cardamom. The Skip operates as a sister restaurant to the acclaimed Standby. With a 40-person indoor capacity and the ability to host 800 in the outdoor patio during warmer months, it transforms seasonally and operates Friday through Sunday in cooler weather.
