The Watermark Bar

The Watermark Bar, located at 3 Cross Belgrave Street in Leeds, was founded by bartenders Dariush Afshar Haghighi and Filippos Filippopoulos who developed their craft in a home kitchen before establishing a full venue. The bar specialized in innovative cocktails and elevated bar snacks, becoming known for signature creations like the Absolute Wasteman (pineapple-skin-infused Fino sherry with Absolut vodka and grapefruit chocolate crisp) and exceptional espresso martinis. The intimate venue cultivated a reputation as a welcoming home bar destination for cocktail enthusiasts. The bar closed on January 1, 2025, ending its tenure in Leeds's vibrant cocktail scene.
