Walrus Club

The Walrus Club is a hidden speakeasy beneath the Regatta Hotel in Toowong, accessed via a secret staircase marked by a single walrus emblem. Revived in 2022 after its 2012 opening, the Prohibition-era-inspired venue features dimly lit rooms with original brick archways and vintage leather furniture, creating an intimate clandestine atmosphere. The extensive spirit collection includes over 300 rare selections, notably more than 150 Caribbean and Central American rums, complemented by classic cocktails, wines, and craft beers. An exotic tapas menu and pizzas sourced from Regatta chefs, plus live entertainment Thursday to Saturday, complete the experience.
